This will HAVE TO go into a vote. For the logic of the question requires it.
But consider this: I think this is the fundamental issue between science and religion.
Religion assumes that life does in fact come with a manual - whatever holy text you rely on.
Science assumes that such is not the case and that we have to figure out ourselves what on earth (literally) is going on and why.
So I think this is kinda neat.
Your decision about science vs. religion will have to follow this assumption, if you are rational. But the assumption itself is a personal choice, maybe informed by probability.

Life itself does not automatically come with a manual, but millions of people all over the world and of all races and religions use the Bible (or whatever you call your Holy Book)as a manual.
Of course, you could write your own manual with your life's experiences. Or just use the "trial-and-error" method.

I was thinking last night again about how people should be required to attend class for common things people need to learn, such as how to discipline a child, how to not give your family virus's and diseases by keeping things clean.just all kinds of things.all Young people should be put thru basic training when they get 18.also 3 days in jail to let them see what its like.i have lots of ideas along those lines. make people learn how to raise decent children is paramount
and even though it is not possible for the government to do,,i wish people knew how to pray.for guidance,

In a sense. They are called instinct and aptitude for learning from our environment. All derived from the evolutionary process. Both are designed to keep us alive so we can reproduce the next generation
Not that manuals are always accurate. Take religious faith, for instance. Some of it may be hardwired, but does that make it real?

briefly Excluding religion and being logical about it. I think there is a yes and no answer.
Yes- We have primal instincts to survive. Some peoples genetic code or instincts are weaker than others, this is where natural selection used to take over. I believe due to our interference with nature and technological advancements, our genetic code is beginning to mutate and degenerate.
No- Manual to live however you please. There is no correct way to be happy.

I do really wonder why it takes people so long to understand the thing they live in!
When I was a young boy I would think "This is odd, they all have brains but are not using them! strange planet!"

Yes, it is called a dictionary. And, if you really want the specifics, use an encyclopedia.
Think not? I stayed up all night reading the dictionary; I thought it was poem about everything.

The manual of life is "common sense". Some of us are lucky enough to be born with it. Others are capable of learning it, but there are others still who are doomed to a life of cluelessness.

Yes...life's manual is the truth of the voice of our soul...Yet, like other manuals...it gets covered up with 'dust', put to the side, lost...till found again.
