No, white is the absence of color. So if you took away our skin color, we would all be albino, not black.

why are you answering your own question? isn't that a wee bit cheeky? you bet your sweet vanilla, it is! no, sweetness, we wouldn't be african-americans because even africans can not trace their ancestry back to the americas. there is a disagreement on where humans began in the form that we're at now. some groups think asia (present-day china area) while others argue for the african continent. and if you do go back far enough to find out where it all started, skin color wouldn't even apply 'cause we had hair & lots of it covering our bodies . things like climate changes, wind, heat, cold, etc would force nature to give us (like other animals) a protection and skin color didn't really come into play until after the cro-magnon era or possibly the homo-erectus time, which post-dates the magnon man, like the neaderthal time, like. anyway, don't go & get yourself hung-up on skin & color. you're so far behind the times. besides, if you do scrape the skin off of humans, what we do have in common is blood & a lot of pain that goes with the skin-scraping. lighten up - life's too short.

The base for every ones' is pure, pale, white. Your concept is correct in that sense and at one time all the continents were as one---Africa being the largest now, makes sense to me. It is referred to as the Mother Land and is not inhibited by people with darker pigmentation only. To any racist out there, I hope you understand what I just said---you still don't have to agree---but it is true. I have seen a "black person" with their skin burned off with my own eyes. I also have been able to change my own skin color to match almost every race at one time or another, so why don't we all just try to get along?! The Garden of Eden was in China though. We are all descendants of Abraham now.

You can kill a bear, strip the hide off and it will look like a man that has been killed.
Does that make the bear human?
I like the different shades of color we come it. We are some of the few species that enjoy a variety of shapes, sizes, colors, etc.
We are not limited to "certain specifications" in order to be valuable to someone.

You are assuming that everyone is an American.

plus, your question makes absolutely no sense. Neither does the answer you supplied.

If you took the color out of everyone's skin, they would either be white, or their skin would be transparent so you could see their blood.

I don't know about "African American", but did you know that we are all Africans? Geneticists have shown that we are all (every human) descendants of a single man who lived in Africa about 100,000 years ago.
