I dyed my hair permanently about two weeks ago, and I'd like to have it straightened permanently. I have natural curly hair. Can I still straighten it?

i recently chemically straightened my hair, and i've dyed my my hair before with permanent color. my straightening came out well.
but considering the fact that your coloring was so recent, you might want to go in for a consultation with a stylist. pick a good stylist and talk to him or her about it. they'll be able to tell you the best decision.

Chemically straightening your hair is extremly bad for it. If you try to do that after permanently dying it, it might get too damaged, loose color, get frizzy/er, etc. I don't suggest you try that. You could try straightening it with a straightening iron, even though its a little more work and its still not completely healthy for your hair. Try using a really gentle shampoo and heat protector/protectant (?) on your hair before styling it.

No, it will melt off in addition to stripping the color.
