It would depend on the nature of the skepticism.

ummmmmm a skeptic towards what???????? what exactly is the correlation that you are trying to make with skepticism and religion???? I'm a skeptic with many things such as government policy, law enforcement, your trusted science that continues to be disproved everyday, murderers, businessmen, psychics, calorie count in food and yes i am also Christian. How can someone call themselves skeptic and also be described as atheist? i thought it was concrete it wasn't any proof yet you still continue to ask and impugn Christians and their beliefs.

One can be a skeptic and not be so about EVERYTHING. Each of us holds some beliefs we have not questioned.
DesCartes said that the only think one could know without question is that for there to be a thought there must be a thinker. None of us, or few of us, start from there and question everything else.
Christians, or most of them, start with the assumption that their faith is real. They've likely seen some things that they are convinced are evidence. While that evidence may not stand scientific scrutiny, that doesn't mean that it's not of worth to the individual believer.
While I'm not a Christian, I do believe that all of those who believe do so with a completely blind faith.

That's an easy one!
The story of the Bereans in Acts.
Very skeptical. Very Christian. That's the way we all should be!

We are told to question, to test and check all things. That would make us a skeptic.
You may not know it by looking at what the western church has done to christianity, but God does not call us to be weak minded, docile, accepting, mindless robots blindly following whatever the preacher of the week is rambling about this time.
Keep the mind sharp, always question.

So now you have the market cornered on being skeptical too? I guess we did not realize that you had bought the rights to skepticism. So sorry but I am (skeptical) about this claim.

It depends on what they were being a skeptic about. I am a Chrstian and I am a skeptic when it comes to Iran releasing a hostage, for instance.

Isaiah 1:18
"Come now, let us reason together,"
says the LORD.
"Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.
Because God himself invites us to be skeptical. Paul would agree with me:
(1 Corinthians 15:12-19)
But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.

denominations lead human beings into questioning faith is going to get them into to heaven. Paul talks approximately this in Galatians. relatively, the only think of that gets you to heaven is your individual relationship with Jesus Christ. For me, i'm undenominational. examining the bible is my source of what's right / incorrect. i'm no longer likely to have faith something via fact catholics, methodists, pentecostal, baptist say it is so. i visit have faith interior the bible. that's somewhat stupid whilst denominations think of they're the only real one. Its very unhappy whilst particular denominations seem down on you too, for the fact that i in my opinion, study each and all of the variations of the bible. i've got had somebody say "oh your an NIV christian." Denominations divide Christianity and their is a prior remark talking approximately one church being the physique. Thats real, yet regrettably, all and sundry is thoroughly diverse and interpret issues diverse procedures.
