We are all given equal opportunity to make the choice, knowing the consequences. Why would anyone make the choice to ignore God and not make the choice to be with him?

God did not create hell for people. Yet, many will go there because they choose to refuse to accept Jesus as their Savior.
Jesus said of Himself that He was the only way to Heaven.
I do not know why anybody would laugh or joke about Hell.

We don't choose NOT to believe in god, we simply cannot find a reason TO believe in god, when there is no proof.
And those that do find a reason to believe in god often get turned off due to the contradictions in the bible, the feud between the multiple sects of christianity, and how some people who claim to be christian can be really opinionated and spiteful.

Um, maybe if the person thinks the whole God-heaven-hell thing is a complete fairy tale, and therefore doesn't believe that there's any god to ignore or any consequences to know?

Pride . Because of it they do not want there to be a god. And they don't think they are going to go in the lake of fire. With their big, powerful, and super intelligent brain they figure they don't need a god. Self pride is basically the answer to your question. That is why above all else god hates pride the most. The fact is the consequences are not known they are believed.
Can you prove that I will meet a lake of fire when I die?
As such the opportunity is not equal. A person dose not have an equal chance of believing in Christianity if he grew up in a Hindu home as apposed to a Christian one.
as such to claim that everyone is given an equal opportunity is false.

Good question one that most unbelievers will answer that there is no god.Even though they cant disprove it.They just look for an excuse to live sinful lives and do all these things that help no one else but themselves.Selfish prideful murdering hating people who deny God do it because they cant stand it.Why?because they feel they are better than Jesus.They cant accept the fact that there is something better and that is why they think they actually are smarter and not brinwashed when in reality they dont even see there ignorance in philosophy.

Maybe because they're blind and don't know that there's a better way out by following the voice of the Lord.
They probably haven't been to the level where God held them in his spirit.
They probably don't know how to achive the keys of the kingdom.
They probably don't know that there is a better feeling than the things out here in the world.

What evidence do you have outside of the Bible that there is a fiery lake? It is your choice to believe but believing is not evidence supporting this claim.

1. God is imaginary.
2. If you go by your bible, your god is selfish. According to Christianity most of my family is in hell anyway. I'd rather spend eternity in hell than eternity with a selfish god that wants you to exist only so you can impress him with how great you think he is. At least the Devil is honest about being an ***.

Because here on Earth people are pleasure-minded and selfish and these things are so tempting that they tell themselves that there really aren't any consequences for sin.
Following God is difficult. It is the narrow road. Most people like the wide and easy one.
But.........no pain....no gain!
