I don't usually see aura's but I can see the white one if I work at it. The aura is the energy field around your body. I have a friend who is a Christian healer and she has been able to see aura's all of her life. It just come naturally to her. She sees the different colors and can know what is wrong with a person by the color, etc. It is not as odd at it seems. Most of us do not see them because we block off a lot of the stimulus around us.

There are other definitions of aura's too. One is a medical term for the flashing lights and odd visual distortions that occur just before a migraine headache. I do get those from time to time and they are not pleasant.

My best understanding of an Aura, if your are discussing an aura in respect to aura's that surround a person it is basically their energy colors. In my opinion, everyone emits one. They vary from dark murky colors to bright, vibrant "clear" color. The more murky or cloudy the color the more negativity there is currently in that persons life. The reverse is also true, the bright clarity of color is a reflection of more positive energy. For those who can read them, most have "practiced" this gift. There are several books in the meta physic section of your local book store that can teach someone how to see them. It does come down to a "willingness" to see them. You look with "soft" eyes. Instead of focusing directly on the person, you focus on a point just beyond them and you should be able to see a "haze" of color around an individual. Each color also refers to the current frame of mind of that person. For example, those who emit an aura of purple and/or white shows that this is a person who is attuned to a "higher power" or shows reverence for nature and the "god" that exist in all things.
