Too many.

All of them (I know, it's not what you really meant but...geez, they just like the air over here or something).

Edit: hate to talk out of turn but, so Skippy, I see 1% of America that you (as interpreter of that Gallup poll) would not count as fundamentalist that has a "favorable view of Christian Fundamentalist religions" - that's pretty small support outside of its own community. Basically fundamentalists think they should have more power and....nobody else thinks that at all.

I think its around 30%. Let me check.

According to a 2006 Gallup Poll:

27% of Americans believe religion should have more influence in America.

28% of Americans think the Bible is the actual word of God.

31% of Americans have a favorable view of Christian Fundamentalist religions.

Why are poll results giving me a "thumbs down"????

Way too many, if you ask me. It's kind of scary how many Americans give into religious conservatism:

77% of the population identified as Christian in 2001
7% of the population is comprised of Evangelical Christians

<<<----------- Here's one!!!! And very, very proud of it! By the grace of God, I'm a fundamentalist, evangelistic, Bible- believing, conservative, happy, devoted to the Lord, faithful, voting Christian!
The definition of fundamentalist Christian is one who believes in the fundamentals of the bible--that the bible is inerrant and that the Lord is our Savior.
