We do sometimes pull a muscle in our back without even realizing it. I doubt that the upset stomach has anything to do with this. If it doesn't improve soon, see your Doctor.

It sounds like it could be a strained or pulled muscle. Have you ever tried those patches you can buy, at most all stores now, and you put them over the area that is sore. Maybe try taking some Aleve - they really work well for many things. Try this first and if it doesn't help, I would suggest maybe going to a chiropractor and have him run some tests on you. He can offer you his opinion and what you do with it is totally up to you. That's what I did and I let him work on my back for a couple sessions, then it got worse and I ended up seeing a Neurosurgeon. Lucky that I did, because I had 2 disks that had ruptured and were leaking spinal fluid. Long story short - I ended up having back surgery. That was the only way to get back to where I was before I hurt myself. There have been some rough times, but all in all, glad I had the surgery. Remember - any time you have a problem with your back - don't jump into surgery. Some people do not heal well after back surgery and have problems for the rest of their lives. Try all your other resources first and get many opinions. Best of luck to you. Hope things work out well for you in the end!

If you go to www.webmd.com, you can click on the symptom checker and it will ask you a variety of questions. It looks like your problem can be anything between kidney problems, miscarriage, muscle strain, or another fourteen other conditions. With it being on the left side and kind of an achy feeling, it sounds like it's probably a kidney stone to me. Call the doctor to make sure. Good luck!
