First boil the liver with a pinch of garlic powder in it until it's cooked. Then you put it on a cookie sheet and bake in a slow oven (about 325 degrees) until it's quite dried out. When it's cool, break into pieces - it'll store in the fridge for quite a while, too. (It's what handlers make for show dogs and they love it!)

I will give my dogs raw liver, or for training I'll cut the liver up into small pieces, bake at 350 until the liver is slightly dried up.

Haven't met a dog yet that didn't go nuts for the baked liver treats.

I usually use beef liver, but you could use liver from anything.

Doggie Liver Treats



1 lb. raw liver 2 cloves garlic
1 box corn muffin mix


Heat oven to temperature listed for the corn muffins. In blender or food processor, mix liver and garlic until liquid. Mix in box of muffin mix. Scrap onto a cookie sheet and pat to about 1/2 to 1 inch thick. Bake until very firm but not burned. Cut into squares. May be frozen.

well I'am not realy sure how you do make dooggies treats but i can say that if you go to the mall center where there a store that does sell kitchens and dinning rooms products at the department store they do sell something for dogs like baking treats cutter sets that you can do for youre own house and bake dogs cookies or milk bones treats for them . you can go there instead. and tere also if you go to a petshop they also do sell pets baking sets for owners who wants make something for their pets to eat .

I don't know about liver treats, but I make beef heart treats if you are interested. :-)
