If you lose the weight fast, you have a better chance to gain it all back...plus some extra! A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week.
Be patient and keep a positive attitude. It takes time and much patience to lose the weight.

I'm a very overweight person myself. I would encourage you to set a more realistic goal.
I'm sure that at various times in your life you've lost lots of weight, only to gain it back later. Even if you could magically lose the weight then you would start to gain it back right away.
Your best bet would be to set a realistic goal of losing 25 pounds in a year and keeping it off. Remember that the faster that you lose weight the quicker you will regain it. If you lost 25 pounds in a year then you could work on maybe losing 20 - 25 pounds in the next year. Think long-term. It's the only way to have a chance to lose the weight and keep it off.
You also need to get a lot of exercise. Someone at your weight should get 12 - 20 hours of exercise per week. It will help you lose a little weight, it will help control your appetite, and it will help offset the health damage from carrying this extra weight.
The very best solution would be lap-band surgery. It is very expensive (around $20,000) and insurance usually won't pay for it, but it does work and could actually get you down to your goal weight and keep you there.

Hi there,
I totally recommend the Kimkins diet. It's kind of like the atkins diet but way healthier. You keep your carbs and fat to a minimum. It's actually really easy to follow. I started the diet at the end of last August and within 2 months, I had lost 35 pounds. There is a website that will show you everything you need to know. This website also has an awesome forum of very supportive people to help you. Even the woman who came up with the diet is on the website all the time to help and give advice. One girl on the website (Christine) lost 100 pounds in 4 months...
Here is the link if you are interested. http://www.kimkins.com?a_aid=0345e923...
Good luck with your search.

If you define "fast" as being over 14 months, here is how to do it:
Eat 6 small but balanced meals per day. Your carbs should be high in fiber and your proteins should be lean. Fats should be sparing but concentrated in the omega 3's and omega 6's.
Lift weights because the slight increase in your lean mass will burn extra calories 24 hours per day. This will increase your resting metabolic rate. Also, cardio helps.
Use a measuring tape instead of a scale to measure your progress because it is more accurate than the scale.

Take it one day at a time. Try counting calories & exercise. You may only average 1-1.5 pounds per week of weight loss...but imagine how you'll feel in a month...or this time next year. See the link below for guidance & tips...one step at a time...make a commitment to yourself...you'll get there. Best of luck!
