Raw hide, everyone is right, is not very diggestable. But, I use pig/swine hide, or pig ears or beef hide...etc. It is much better for the dogs digestion. My puppy LOVES raw hide bones and it seemed that it was the only thing that he would chew on (and it would last) for an extended period of time. He needs SOMETHING to chew on, so I have tried lots of different things. I don't know what kind of bone they are called...I buy mine at Kroger...but they are about as big around as a baby bottle and they are hollow (sometimes flavored). I have heard about putting peanut butter in them and freezing it like a pervious answer has said...but I wonder...wouldn't that get messy as it starts to melt? I dunno. At a specialty pet store (of course they recommend their products) but the guy recommended any of the toys that have insertable treats for a boredom cure. He said that dogs are also attracted to anything with a mint flavoring. Good luck!

I am another rawhide opposer. I would not give any dogs, let alone a puppy rawhide. They don't digest well is putting it mildly. It is a choking hazard. I
Invest in a KONG toy, fill it with baby food carrots, applesauce, whatever and freeze it. Give it to your pups, and I promise, they will be entertained for quite a while. The cold is soothing to their teeth/gums as well.

Puppies really shouldn't have rawhides because they are hard to digest. Try something else. Otherwise, when they are adults, or at least over 6 months, I would say no more than 2 medium ones over a week and that is only when you are monitoring them.

I wouldn't give them any. They are a big cause of intestinal blockage.
Try bully sticks, Kongs stuffed with treats, or fresh, uncooked beef femurs from a butcher instead

I wouldn't give my puppies raw hide because it gets all gummy and they can choke on it, I'd get them a bone (the right sized one) and they can chew on that for days!!

I don't reccomend using raw hides at all they can cause blockages. I give Oreo a beef rib bone you can buy the at your local pet store & it will last them a while

i would not recommend them because when they chew and swallowed it, the rawhide gets big when it's wet, and it will cause blockage.

Don't ! It is hard for them to digest. There are safer things out there. Also stay away from any green treats. Some have chlorophyll in them.
