My friends tell me that I dont look like I weight 150 pounds but I know I need to loose weight. I have had two children so most of the weight is on my stomach and hips. Is there a vitamin or weight loss pill out there that can help? I am a single mom so I cant afford expensive diet pills. I am so discouraged.

I also count my calories, I eat 100% wheat bread, I hardly ever eat pasta. I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. I eat my required fruit and vegetables, and I drink my milk with every meal which is 1%. I would go skim but my kids hate it.

I am mostly hungry at night. I plan my meals the night before and I get satisfied on the small amounts of food I bring for snack and lunch. When supper comes around I am sometimes really hungry, that is when I really want to eat.

First of all, keep a positive attitude and believe you CAN do this!
You say you eat right. Try keeping a journal of everything you eat and how many calories you take in. You may find out that you're consuming too many calories, or even not enough. When you don't take in enough calories, your body can go into starvation mode. Starvation mode will stall or prevent losing weight.
Stay away from soda and drink up on water!! Lots of water! It really does help with the weight loss process.
Of course, exercise!

Be patient--the weight will come off. Remember a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week.
Good luck!☺

Forget the pills as they become a crutch and not a long-term solution.

Without knowing what your workout routine, I am going to suggest an activity you probably did as a child, and had fun with, jumping rope.

It is a full body activity and will strengthen the abs and hips, since the stomach muscles are a foundation and the hips do take a good amount of the impact.

If you do try the activity, start very modestly, maybe five minutes to start and try and do as much as you can. It is highly anerobic - like sprinting - so you will need to build up gradually.

And you then add minutes and - maybe - you can get your children involved, too.

Never feel discouraged, because you are telling yourself that the race is too hard, and you haven't even laced up the shoes. As with any workout routine, you start slow and gradually build into it and you will see improvement in the areas you feel need it the most.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

You are the exact same height and weight as I am . I have also had 2 children. Look at it this way , we are not morbidly obeise and chances are you live a healthy life style even though you don't have the same body that you did when you were 20 years old..........time marches on. What can you do ? Don't worry about weight , worry about the kids and more important things, OK?

You may be eating "right," but chances are you're eating too much. Portions are just out of control in the U.S., and people are so used to it they don't know any better. Rather than eat a big plate of something "healthy," have 2-3 tiny dishes of something (a salad, a piece of meat in sauce, and a soup, for instance).

Calm down you still have a long way to go. Go workout for 30 min. and check your wieght every Sunday. Read the nutrition facts on what you eat. If it's more than 10% fat try not to eat to much of it.

Some people handle different kinds of food differently. You might think you are eating healthy, but your body might not be metabolizing what you are eating. For example, some people have a hard time losing weight if they are eating carbs (pasta, bread, etc.) You might try altering what you are eating.

First of all diet pills are never good, have you tried pre planning your meals, plan you exercises at least 3 times a week, and buy vitamins?
