It may be true that the bible was written when we had no clue about the galaxies beyond our, but it says in Genesis 1:1 that God created the Heavens and the Earth. It also is based on faith. If we were to see it, then it wouldn't be faith.

Well........!
The bible states that God is in the heaven of heavens. Thats plural. How many heavens are there?
God is in the galaxy of galaxies. Maybe?
Jesus did say he is not of this world.
Maybe Paradise is the center of all galaxies or heavens.
God in the center... makes sense to me.
Just a thought!
Peace.......

It would possibly be better (or worse) to say that we don't know who created the universe, the galaxy or the world, or if it WAS created by any being.
Have no fear in knowing that we don't know. Us humans don't know a lot of things, and yes it sucks, but fact is...
WE DON'T KNOW. Is anything really certain anyway?

There are passages discussing stars and the sun being extinguished by water. Obviously, the writers of the bible didn't know the sun is a fusion reactor and thought it was a ball of flame. Certainly god would have known this and if this was the word of god this error wouldn't be there.

The bible was also written in a time before gender equality, democracy, and science. There are a lot of things that the bible doesn't know.

It's not just Christians. Scientists say that there are other galaxy's.
Or do you mean an other god made the other galaxy's? Well, TRUST. God says He's the only God.
Hope this helps!

Read Genesis 1:1 again. In the beginning God creates the HEAVENS and the earth.
The word heavens is plural, meaning more than just our galaxy.
Even if man did not know about them, God did.

How do you know "they/we" did not know anything about the galaxies and beyond ours? They may have known more than we do today!

God is identified as the creator of everything. I would think it obvious that this would encompass all of reality. When you read, think. Use your head. It won't hurt it.
