No, It would be amazing to be wrong. Seriously, to think I could live for eternity, or that the people who I had cared about would still exist would be an amazing thing. But that hope will not make it true so there is no point in holding onto it. If it is true, then I would hope for a just creator, not the creator I have seen in so many books, a creator that destroys life and bullies lesser beings around is not something I would follow, no matter what prizes might await.

I'm Jewish, and people ask the same of me. But I believe that if God is so good, so loving, so forgiving, that if in the end I was wrong I'll be given a chance to adapt and change and accept whatever the real truth is. I think religion is about being a good person and walking the right way - not about who is right or wrong. Just my thoughts.

No..because in the 2000 years since the christian scam was concocted no evidence has been given to show that the the christer cultists god is anything but a myth. From studying human history and psychology we can gather than man makes up gods, literally thousand of them and not a single one is real. Not to mention the idea of gods is too far fetched to be real.

An atheist I know once made a remark about being afraid to die. I asked why be afraid of death if one doesn't believe in God then one must think that there is nothing when one dies therefore why be afraid of nothing? All he could do was shrug his shoulders. That speaks for that one man I don't know about the others.

I think it is more a matter of if religious people could worry that all of their beliefs could be proven wrong, which explains the heated debate on science and relion the last three hundred years.

Do you know how many Christians died violently today? Don't you worry that this is evidence that the jealous god Baal is the true god and he is seeking wrath on those who dare pray to someone else?
No? Not really? That's about where we are.

Don't Christians worry that they might suddenly be shown to be wrong??
Most people don't fear that what they believe in is wrong. That's idiotic.

Nope it wouldn't bother me a bit. I would have no problem with excepting the truth whatever it turns out to be. Actually it would be rather nice. Then I could blame everything on it rather than having to take responsibility for my own life.

Suddenly? What scenario are you thinking of? You mean, if God speaks, and the whole world hears him in their own languages and he says "Hey, I'm really here!"? Suddenly, like that? Oh, and to answer your question: No.

No! If we're shown wrong (a impossibly huuuuge if), just like the sciences, we'll change to fit the evidence. That's what it's all about. Unlike Theists, we look at evidence and come to conclusions. There's no room for blind faith.
