Mormon is a belief that was created by Joseph Smith.Jospeh smith claimed that an angel gave hima book called the Book of Mormon. It's all a lie tho. Joseph was a lair and con man. As the mormons moved west they made friends with the Native American population. The Native Americans trusted the mormons and for this they paid dearly. Joseph Smith Stole from the Native Americans historical stories and claimed them in the book of mormons. Ideas that once we truths became distorted with lies. Smith took the stories twisted them and changed them to suit his thinking. A mormon is someone that believes that a criminal named Joseph Smith found some magical golden plates in a cave in upstate New York in the 19th Century. They further believe that an angel named Moroni visited him and gave him a magic hat with which to use to translate the magic golden plates.

After Smith "translated" the plates he claimed they were the final revelation of God. His followers called themselves "Latter-Day Saints." The book claimed, among other hilarious things, that the American Indians were the 10 lost tribes of Israel, and that Jesus came to North America to preach.

Smith also couldn't keep it in his pants, and felt that anything he felt so strongly MUST be divine, so he announced to his followers that men were supposed to have multiple wives. Of course, this courtesy was NOT applied to women, who were supposed to remain chaste.
