The restaurant employees I have known in the past have told me that their restaurants always get busy on Sundays starting around noon.

I used to waitress and depending on the place I worked, It would get packed with church people after church. They most often left little pamphlets or church business cards with the tip.

ALWAYS! In fact, many in our little brunch group will show up at church in time to leave for brunch even if they missed the service.

Granted, we're Unitarians, so the socializing is seen as just as important as the service. Also, since many of the people in the brunch group are Atheists or Agnostics we may skip certain topics that don't interest us. I'm there every week regardless because I'm paid to be there. I interpret the services. :)

No I keep the sabbath day holy by not purchasing anything. Sunday for me is a day of rest and when I go to a store to buy something I know that that perosn is not resting and is not going to church.

Being I have to fast at least one hour before Mass, I usually go out to breakfast, and the restaurants where I live are quite busy at 9am(Mass begins at 8am)

Yes. Oftentimes I take my daughter and her friend/friends to eat at the restaurant after the church. : )

It is a common practice, but it should be discouraged because by doing so, others are forced to work on Sunday.
