when you cry is between you and the deceased. Tears are one way to express love. Remember to rejoice that you had the privilege to know the deceased and continue to live as they would have had you live.

You can cry, now, later, and after the funeral. You can even cry during the funeral. There is nothing wrong or silly about expressing your grief. You are sad and it's ok to be sad. Keeping things bottled inside will only hurt you in long run. Please cry. You may feel a little better if you do so.
Hugs and I hope all goes well for you.

Don't worry about when you cry. I lost my brother last November and I can still find myself crying at any time, especially when I'm alone, say driving in my car. It just shows how much you care, and maybe it's part of healing, although I know it's too early for you now to think about healing. I think the grief never lessens, you just learn to live with the pain.
A couple of my workmates came to my brothers funeral and I cried in front of them, and felt stupid, but looking back now, if the situations were reversed, I wouldn't have felt that they were stupid. Go with how you feel, and I hope it goes as well as it can for you.

there is only one gauruntee in life, death, it's just part of the deal. you might as well cry because the sun is going to set. celebrate their life and be gratefull. when we cry it is not for them, we are crying because we feel sorry for ourselves and our loss, seems kinda selfish, no? after all, they're ones who are dead. some will say we all need time to grieve, but they are just treating a psychological attachment and don't see the root of the problem.

Cry when you feel like you need to cry. It's not healthy to keep it inside. I learned that the hard way.

All times. Being bottled-up with a cork like champagne is a bad plan!! It has to burst sometimes.
