They're used to lots of spirituality & baroque qualities,so they usually get into exotic potporri belief systems. You get the impression their brains must be like a florist's shop.

HUH?! that question/comment makes absolutely NO sense.

the qualities of being spiritual are not a bad concept however baroque.... uhm the Rcc's concepts and beliefs are based even further into old school then the 17th century! the fact is - it's neither exotic nor as multifaceted as a florist shop. they have and will continue to maintain more continuity then all others with the basic structure stemming from the beginning of Christianity.

Yes georgiegirl there is. I just spent a few minutes reviewing some of your answers. I would say that someone who attempts to present themselves as a Christian and yet spews nothing but venom is much worse. If you need some help figuring out who I am describing I suggest you go look in a mirror.

My 1st wife and my wife are both ex Catholics. Also some of my girl friends (before marriage).

I find then enlighten and interesting, also loving and giving amounts many other admiral qualities.

What is also apparent is they are subjected to such nonsense in their early life by the church and church schools that they often believe that they are personally to blame for all the worlds ills.

Oh the wicked spells that religion cast.

Yes, there is something worse. A person claiming to know what Catholics believe when they use things like the chick tracts to base their 'knowledge' on.

Ring a bell?

At least flower shops smell good....:) And they're pretty :)
And people get flowers to make other people happy :)
I can think of way worse places to be.....
(I can't stop laughing.....)

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think the asker is talking about
"former", "lapsed" or "recovering" Catholics who go off and get into stuff like, oh, I dunno, Paganism??? (such as yours truly)
(still can't stop laughing)

I was Catholic 16 years....so i do know.

There is one thing worse, the stupid atheist writing theisr stupid book about how G-d doesnt exist...meanwhile G-d sends the sun to shine on them and the rainbow to show them He does.

Otherwise, the Catholic is bad....equal to the 9/11 bombers.
