Is it any more hypocritical than to lie, or cheat, or have bad thoughts about someone, or talk badly behind someone's back, or any of the many sins that we commit each day, and profess to be christian? What about the people who have ended up in prison for commiting a crime, but repent? They are accepted as christian. There is not one of us without sin, yet we are accepted as christian without question. Why aren't gay people who profess to be christian given the same benefits as the rest of us? We all sin. There is not one of us who is perfect. Who are we to say what sin is worse than the other? We hurt other people with our words and actions without giving thought to questioning our christianity , and we all commit sins in our mind, but keep it hidden. Yet a gay person is condemed just by living his life openly. The divorce rate in the church is just as high as in the secular population.....many of them due to adultery.......yet they can still claim to be christian and it is not questioned..........they just fell to temptation.
Sin is sin. I do not take it upon myself to judge what sin is worse than the other in God's eyes. That's his job. It's my job to live my life trying to follow in Jesus footsteps. Jesus loves and accepts everyone who comes to him. If only the perfect could come to him there would be no one. I don't think he accepts only people with certain sins. I think he accepts all people who accept him......including those who are gay
In answer to your question of "why would a gay person want to be part of a religion that believes that homosexuality is a sin", I ask the question, why would an adulterer want to be a part of a religion that believes that adultery is a sin? That's only an example. The same goes for any sinner.
Churches are filled with sinners. I would hope that all sinners would come to God. And I would hope that all christians would accept any sinner who comes to church looking for God. After all, we have ALL sinned and fall short of the glory of God. His salvation is his GIFT to us. We can not earn it. Not one of us. So, should we try to tell God who to give his gift to? I for one choose to leave that to him. He always makes better decisions than me.

You can be both God loves everyone and calls them to him.The Bible is misinterpreted to hurt people. You don't have to believe 100percent in the bible to be saved just that Christ can save and will save you if you ask for it. It has nothing to do with who you are or what you are. Christians try to make it an exclusive club but its really not just the religion that they practice. Hate isn't a requirment to be a christian like most christians think. God LOVES gays. THey are not abominations. The Bible is WRONG. It's misinterpreted and misunderstood by Christians. As Paul states "Nothing can seperate us from the love of God" especailly Gay hating Christians.

I would not say that it is hypocritical but I think any homosexual who was a Christian would have a strong desire within themselves to overcome that sin. But many of us have sin in our lives that we would love to overcome and at this point have not yet gained victory. If a homosexual does not believe the Bible and thinks homosexuality is all right in God's eyes they would probably not be a genuine Christian to begin with.

Being homosexual isn't a "culture." It's side of a man or woman's nature. And heterosexual Christians can declare all they desire that God will difference a homosexual man or woman's enchantment to the identical intercourse, however in point of fact that He does not. Why? Because had He desired each person to be heterosexual, then each person might be heterosexual. I've been a Christian due to the fact that I used to be 14. I spent years seeking to combat my sexual orientation, and submitted to the whole lot the church requested me to do in that regard. In the top, I discovered that God wasn't exchanging me considering the fact that it wasn't His will to take action. I entered ministry as an brazenly homosexual guy, and preached the Gospel till I retired. For folks that believe it is a sin, please spare me the scripture quotations; I can quote them within the customary languages higher than you'll be able to learn them in English. And I additionally understand what they are saying in the ones languages, which isn't what they are saying in English translations. God has no crisis with homosexuality. It's side of His production in persons and in animals. Only humans have a crisis with it, and that is why the English Bibles have been converted (along side different trendy languages), so bigoted humans might declare that God shared their prejudice. But He does not. I'm a Christian... my salvation is among myself and Jesus Christ. No one else enters into the equation, and nobody else's critiques assume the area. (James four:12)

If this person is born again and is truly saved he comes out of the gay lifestyle. This is so against the teachings of Christ. The Scriptures read that no homosexual (among other things) will inherit the kingdom of God. He is a liar, and tramples the name of Christ underfoot when he says he's a Christian and lives this lifestyle. He is deceiving himself and maybe others, for which he will be held accountable.

They cannot be both. Homosexuality is wrong in the eyes of the lord. They cannot call themselves Christians and still be gay. Once when they are born again they must repent of that sin and never do it again. They must change their ways. As far as them skipping verses in the bible...they have to because it plainly states that it is a sin.
Sin cannot enter into Heaven.

You are assuming that being Gay is committing a sin. The word homosexual never existed in Christ's time, in fact, not until well into the 1800's. What Sacred Scripture was mostly talking about was lustful desires and that did not make a distinction between hetero or homosexuals. Christ Himself never once mentioned anything about homosexuality. If God did not think it important to mention, then why does the church think they can make doctrine and rules on it? Please do an Historical/Critical reading of the Scriptures, and then re ask yourself what is really being talked about. God Bless!

There are a lot of So called Christians who don't believe what the bible says. They just pretend the thing they want to endulge in isn't true in the Bible. My parents even say I believe this but I don't believe that. So what is the use if they pick and choose. Go to gospelofthenazirenes.c and get the original New Testament before King Constantine misconstrued so many things.

Christ died for everyone,if you are a christian that's what he teaches. We are not to judge others,we are called to love others. We need to keep our eyes on our own sin,and hate is sin.I will never say to someone who enters a church or wants Jesus, you need to leave you are gay. That is hate, and fear, and judgmental.Jesus changes people because of his incredible love, not condemnation.Do you still have things about you that are not in perfect line with the nature of Jesus,I most certainly do.Cast the first STONE YOU WHO ARE WITHOUT SIN.We are all hypocrites and I am a spirit filled christian. We are all in need of Jesus.

I see no contradiction. Many religious people believe that all people are sinners, and many of them demonstrate quite regularly that they are. Homosexuality is only a sin in the eyes of weird holier-than-thous. Why shouldn't homosexuals find the same value in religion as other people?
