If the Lord had a problem with wine, he wouldn't have turned the water to wine at the wedding, he would have done the other way around to promote temperence. As far as health goes, when you drink too much of it it's bad for you, when drunk in moderation it can be quite good for you, and the heart in particular...

The Bible forbids people from getting drunk. It says you can drink some wine, as long as you are careful, and it's not for everyone. It's not sinful though, Jesus drank wine.

The Bible disparages the use of fermented grape. New wine was not fermented, basically a good grape juice. Water back then was not filtered. Grape juice was naturally filtered due to the root system. That is why Timothy was urged to drink wine rather than the local water for his stomach ailment.

not forbidden, but must be drunk in moderation...
* It speaks against getting "drunk" on wine ~ not against wine altogether.
Some Christian denominations (like the Salvation Army) have taken a "chosen" position to abstain simply because they are trying to support those susceptible to addiction...and by abstaining themselves, they're not leading their weak willed friends into temptation
...Or something like that!
God Bless.

Of course it is not. However, you would know this if you had taken the time to read the Bible for yourself (hint, hint).
