I have a AKC pug and have recently purchased a little guy who is registered under CKC. I would prefer to have both as AKC registered if I choose to breed. Or how would it work if the litter was from an AKC dame and CKC sire?

you can not register both with akc because th male was never with akc, how ever if you are interested in breeding, you can register the akc pup with ckc and register the litter with ckc.

CKC is a bogus registry.. AKC will not register your CKC dog into AKC because they care about your dog and they are very proud of their name.. Now for CKC who will register anything with two legs and as long as they get their money they don't care about your dog or the puppies will Transfer your AKC dog to CKC. But you need to send them your AKC papers of your dog.. What they will do is double register your dog. So you do will no longer be known as AKC but CKC and the puppies will be CKC.. it is best you don't miss around with double registering your dog and not breed your dog with a CKC dog. Sorry the breeder should have told you this. More breeders are using CKC cause they are as strick as AKC.. It is a shame but that is what they are doing.

CKC (unless it is the Canadian Kennel Club) is worthless. It is a scam registry. Papers from this registry are worthless, not worth the paper they are written on..in otherwords dogs with CKC papers are not registered at all and they should nOT be used for breeding.
The AKC does not recognize the CKC as legit nor do any of the other legit registries..

Don't worry about those that think you have to have a pet registered for it to be worth anything. All that matters is whether or not you love your dog, it loves you, and that you take care of it. Your dogs won't give a rat's *** as to what piece of paper their names are on - why should you!
