Well ,here is goesI'm 16 &,theres this guy that i like & i think he likes me 2 ,but my dad says im not allowed 2 date ! I'd really like to have a bf so i could hang out with & have someone to talk 2 ,go a basketball game ,movies ... just someone to be with
How can ask this guy out if im can't date !

My dad was like that too hun. I passed having a boyfriend off like I was just hanging out with some friends... and eventually my parents lightened up. 16 is an okay age I think.

My parents were almost the exact same way, but they put the age limit of dating for me on 16. First, be sure that you know when your dad really IS going to let you date. Tell him that he can trust you to be responsible, and right now you simply want to experiment the dating thing and just have fun. Offer to bring your date over to meet him first, and tell your dad he can put a strict cerfew on if it is necessary.
If worst comes to worst, I would find a way to date this dude without your dad's knowledge. I know it's low, but if it means that much to you go for it. I would tell him I'm hanging with some girl friends, and that they can pick you up as well as bring you back home. BUT you need to find days to go out when you can be allowed to hang with friends.
These are just some suggestions, but if you brainstorm I am sure you can come up with valid solutions.

maybe you could meet him at games ..he can go with his friends and you with yours ,it could be lots of fun when you have a whole group together.. the you two could sit together that could work until your dad lets you date...i guess its worth a try!

show your dad that you're a mature young adult. assure him that your grades won't suffer, and that having a relationship would improve your life. It'll probably raise your self esteem, too. if your mum's still around, try to get her on your side. good luck!

if he's mature enuff, invite him to meet your father and maybe ur father will see wat a good guy he is. if he likes u like u think u do, then maybe he'll understand and can be that good friend u need until u r allowed to date. start out slow, it'll last longer.
