The name "ring" in Boxing Ring comes from when contests were fought inside a drawn circle on the ground.

Why are cigarette's called squares? Blogbaba has a life, and no idea why a boxing ring is square. Damn good question. Kong gets the thumbs up from the blogbaba, it's as good a reason as any.
