I wonder why the amount of interracial relationships between black women and white men in the UK (i.e England, Germany, etc) greatly outnumber those in the USA. Anyone have any ideas? I have heard about cases of Italian men in Italy having fetishes for black women, but I wonder if it is the same case here in the USA. I have been invited by a friend to go to Italy next summer, and I guess I am just wondering what to expect.

I dont think about slavery, and wasnt brought up with all that slavery mentality that most African Americans have, maybe its because I am not African American?

Do you ever think that white women are considered more attractive because there are more whites than blacks, and that more white women are shown on tv than black? Or perhaps Americans have been brainwashed (some by their racist ancestors) to believe that white people are more superior, hence more attractive? I have been on dates with whites who weren't attractive to me... but then 'beauty is in the eyes of the beholder'. I think that there are beautiful people in every race, both black, white and every other race in between those two.

the reason why the ratio of interracial couples in the UK out numbers the US is because they do not have the long history of racism. in europe few people care about your skin color...which is why during historical periods such as slavery in the u.s and the civil rights movements interracial couples that could afford it would move to europe even canada to be able to live a normal life without fear of lynchings, the klan and the like. when you go to italy expect to be human first a woman second and black somewhere down the line.

You are reading to much into it. Not many black women in Italy so of course you will be considered a delicacy. Most men just love women in general. If you are surrounded by a certain kind and something new shows up, of course you will be curious about it. Just go and have fun, don't worry about that issue there are other things to ponder about in Italy, like why is the sand black.

Have you forgotten about slavery in the US and the Civil Rights Movement? Interracial relationships are highly looked down upon in the US, which is a shame, because I love black men and my husband is black. I wouldn't change it for the world. It seems that kind of lifestyle is more accepted overseas. :)

Not many white US men date black women...
It is much more common for black men to chase white women.
Statistically it appears that both black & white men find
white women to be much more attractive than black women...
Black women cannot be happy about this...
