Your only option would be to call the IRS to inquire is there are any open issues with your account, The IRS does send letters out when there are issues, but if you are a victim of Identity Theft those notices could be sent to the address of the ID thief and not yours

You might not know until you got a letter from the IRS asking for example why you didn't claim that W-2 from LA on your tax return, and you live in Florida.

Identity theft can be really ugly - getting it all straightened out can take time and a lot of effort.

I am an id theft expert and you do not know until you file taxes or the irs sends that wonderful letter!
