My Sony DVD player keeps saying "insert disk"?

when I try to play a movie. I tried a couple of different disks. The player sounds like it's starting to play, then always goes back to "insert disk". Is it fixable or busted for good?

try to insert disks that you've watched on that DVD player in the past. if it still says insert disk, then, it's broken. if it just says that on certain disks, then those disks aren't recognized by your DVD player and won't play on there.

Hi. Many players have a hard time with copies of DVDs but should play originals without trouble. You might try a lens cleaner disk. Also try a CD, a much less data dense format. Good luck!
