I am a gastric bypass patient and have to drink protien shakes to help with my weight loss. I know know this helps with your muscles and helps increase fat lose just not sure when a good time to drink my shakes. I am to have three shakes a day. Wanting the best results for the fat lose and to build muscle.

First of all, make sure you spread them out throughout the day. This will allow your body to better absorb the protein than if you just chugged them all at once.
Second, drinking them right after a workout is good. Because you've just worn out your muscles working out, they're damaged. Taking in protein right then will speed up the repair process, making your muscles that much stronger.
