I'm talking about the web cam, why are people showing themselves on a cam , is it normal, please some one put the low down on this !

it kinda is... all i know is thats all anyone asks...oh can we see you? i think its b/c with all the lying about ones age and what not ppl want to see ppl to make sure its them. But thats my opinion.

well..i think it is because some people have a bit of exibitionism in them..and coupled with the anonymity that the web provides, it encourges those who would normaly not show themselves. as for me.. i just show my face..and i don't really care if i'm reconized in the real world..i have nothing to hide.some people have started famous shows on them too.

I think its very normal, especially after how popular Yahoo chat was (before they ruined it). Its just nice to see that when your talking to say a 23 yr old female, that its not actually a 42 yr old, creepy, fat guy.
I however only usually use it with friends, just for fun. (No weird stuff). Its just something different than just typing.

It might be getting close to "normal", but I don't think that everyone will use it. Some people are, understandably, not comfortable with this option.
