I would use Romain, or ice burg lettus. For a dressing, I would use a light dressing, or maybe not use a dressing at all. Some dressings have a lot of fat in them. If you get a drink maybe just a light lemonade, water, Hansen sodas, milk, tea, or orange juice.

For lettuce my mom and I like the romaine lettuce better. But we also sometimes like to make a salad using fresh spinach leaves because we like spinach a lot.

Also make a list of other veggies you think you might like and incorporate them in to your salads as well.

As for drinks water is one, and as for juices you can try the fruit juices that are sugar free.

I don't know anything about Shop and Save but I would check Wal-Mart if your store is a Super Wal-Mart because sometimes their prices are really good.

Anything dark and green, like spinach, romaine, etc. Try to stay away from iceburg. Try to eat different vegetables, too. Steamed broccoli, asparagus and green beans are also good choices. Watch those pre-made chicken strips. Sometimes they carry a lot of sodium in them.

Water, water, water.

Romaine Lettuce is good but you can also try Spinach, and if you are looking for a low fat dressing you can try olive oil & vinegar, it has a tangy taste.
