if you truly believe in Jesus, you won't want to do bad stuff. you'll be so filled with the Holy Spirit that you won't want to do bad stuff . Though, when you do make mistake, because everyone does, God DOES forgive you if you're really sorry and will try not to do that sin again.

Your question suffers from a genetic fallacy. Salvation is not based on you, as a sinner "accepting" Christ for you are incapable of it. Salvation is by grace through faith and that only comes from a quickening by the Holy Spirit. The Bible teaches that we are dead in our sins and that we are slaves to sin and thus not able to make a choice. Those that believe have been predestined and elected unto salvation.

It does not seem as though you know what repentance means. It is not just a matter of saying sorry for wrongdoing.

Lastly. In asking your second question you have glaringly put down your atheism and have picked a Christian worldview. How do you as an atheist, account for using a term like "better place"? Things like better, evil, good, bad or LOGIC are all immaterial, universal abstracts that cannot be accounted for in your philosophical materialist worldview. To even ask this question you are presupposing the very thing that you are arguing against.

If you accept Christ you have Christ in you which makes it impossible to live a life of evil........that being said, we all fall short from time to time......there is a big difference between living a life of evil and having a weak moment ...when that happens repent, ask for forgiveness, and move one...the key word here is repent.....

If you truly accept Christ, You will be born again and will not want to do Evil but only Good! Repenting does give you forgiveness for Sin, but you cannot continue in your Sinful ways or you will pay!!

If you REALLY accepted Christ, you wouldn't want to do evil deeds because the Holy Spirit is in you. People who say they have accepted Christ and do horrible things, haven't actually accepted him in their heart.

The key here is repentance. It is increasingly difficult for a person to repent if their lives are characterized by sin. Further, a person whose lives are characterized by sin, probably aren't Christians.

Paul says, "Or can we say-as some people slander us by claiming that we say-"Let us do evil that good may result"? Their condemnation is deserved!" (Romans 3:8)

John agrees by saying, "The person who practices sin belongs to the evil one, because the devil has been sinning since the beginning. The reason that the Son of God was revealed was to destroy the works of the devil. No one who has been born from God practices sin, because God's seed abides in him. Indeed, he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born from God." (I John 3:8-9)

Paul warns people, "Keep examining yourselves to see whether you are continuing in the faith. Test yourselves! You know, do not you, that Jesus Christ lives in you? Could it be that you are failing the test?" (II Corinthians 13:5)

You cannot believe that Jesus is the Christ, and still do evil deeds. Jesus preached peace. If you truly believe that He is your Saviour, then you will want to stop doing evil deeds. Maybe you will slip sometimes, but to do them intentionally, I don't see anyone wanting to do that.

I don't think Jesus died on the cross so we could be forgiven and then live like hell. Think about it. He conquered the devil when He died on the cross so now we born sinners have a way to make it to Heaven. Being saved is called being "born again" because that is what we are. Jesus enters our hearts and changes our hearts and lives.

--As far as fooling God with that type of repenting, I doubt it very much.

--What happens when one does evil as you describe? Its like cautorized flesh there are very little nerve endings to feel any pain for safety sake.

--SIMILARLY with the conscience that is involved in true repentence,-- it can be cautorized so to speak BY THE practicing of wicked, evil, selfish, obscene, perverted, dishonest etc. ways! As this text shows:

(1 Timothy 4:1-2) “4 However, the inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons, 2 by the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, marked in their conscience as with a branding iron;”--
--The verses that follow show what false religious teachings can do if we are in agreement with them & practice them in bizaar doctrine that have led to immoral practices!

--This branding iron experience is actually making reference to de-sensitizing the conscience--AS FALSE RELIGIOUS teacher, pedaphiles etc. practice for many years--Without feeling!

--That indeed is a dangerous condition to be in if you want any approval from God!

--AN INTERESTING WORKING of a healthy conscience even those perhaps that do not believe in Christ & his ways is referenced hear:

(Romans 2:14-15) “14 For whenever people of the nations that do not have law do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. 15 They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them and, between their own thoughts, they are being accused or even excused.”

--If you noted that a healthy conscience, (one that has not been cautorized) can actually help us to enjoy life more by helping us to make decisions on morals etc.

--Then lets say, similar to King David who thought he got away with his adultery & murder, which he somehow fell into, WAS indeed forgiven--BECAUSE of true repentence he showed to God, not to a religion or individuals in charge!

--AS FOR THE scenario you presented, that type of "christianity" will get us no-where! AND INDEED does not do a thing for the world or anybody in it!

PS.
--IF YOU GET used to playing around and think I can get away with it you are practicing what the Bible calls secret sins:

(Psalm 19:12) “12 Mistakes—who can discern? From concealed sins pronounce me innocent.”

--Concealing SERIOUS a sin from your wife or whoever is one thing, but from God, you are indeed are playing a dangerous game--THAT INDEED you cannot win!
--As far as heaven is concerned one should be more concerned with the survival of Armaggedon --It is more immediate than any promise of religions happy hunting ground!

Why would you want to do evil deeds? One who accepts Christ wants to please Him.
He is not your "get out of Jail free" card.
