In the bible it says that God loves us and if you dont worship and believe in him you will go to hell and burn in a lake of fire for eternity. Lets say you were God......and your mom, dad children, cousins, aunts uncles in whom you love did not worship you or believe you existed, would you send them to a lake of fire for eternity and let them suffer in pain ???? Does it make sense for a higher being to torture the ones he love just because they dont believe in him? Its like killing all the ants just because they do not worship me ..............................please give me your opinions and comments and what you think

You're right. I'd be much more concerned with how they lived and how they treated it eachother....If they believed in me, cool, if not, whatever...

Hell is just an invention of some ancient guy to keep people in line. One religion tried virgins as a lure. Christianity tried everlasting peace and happiness, but I imagine the followers and coffers didn't grow fast enough. So some smart guy decided to throw eternal damnation for a few sins commited in a few years span. Seems a bit disproportionate doesn't it?

St. Peter looking over a list of Sins:

1. Stole one Hershey bar from a store.
2. Used lords name in vain 732 times
3. Coveted the neighbor's wife repeatedly
4. Didn't honor the parents in the teen years

St. Peters: It says you cured all forms of cancer, but you are not really sorry about the neighbor's wife and hershey bar. Ehhh, yes, eternal damnation for you.

The entire idea of hell is beyond imagination. How can anyone say a being that was ultimately loving and good would do this? To me its the most illogical dogma of Christianity.

Ok, here's the deal. God offers you a choice and says "you pick...do you want to be w/ Me, or not?"

Whatever you choose is what you will get...so choose wisely. Some people hate God...they wouldn't want to go to Heaven simpy b/c He is there....maybe they shouldn't complain when they don't get to enter.

While I respect the beliefs of others I don't believe in the concept of an omnipotent creator being. I'm Buddhist, and atheist.
