I have a 1992 Saturn by the way, and i'm more worried about my speakers than my car.

by CD player speakers, I mean that they are the average household stereo system speakers with built in subs and basic Left and Right outputs.

The only things you need to worry about is 1. size 2. what type of speaker is on your cd player, and 3. the most important of them - resistance or the ohms. Most cars have 4 ohm speakers, generally printed on the magnet/sticker on the speaker itself. You may use higher than 4 in the car so long as all of them are the same, but dont expect too great a performance from them.

You can connect it but, look first for the impedance of the household speakers, most of house speakers are 8 ohm, in car audio systems they are 4 ohm mostly. If they are 8 ohm they will work, but with less power than a 4 ohm speakers, in fact the power will be halved.

What do you mean by "CD player speakers"? What impedance are they rated at?
