The Hyundai Tiburon is a nice little car but does not have the horsepower, handling, reliability of the Subaru Impreza WRX. The WRX with it's 227 hp and AWD handling will always wipe the road with the Tiburon. Both cars are street legal.

The Tiburon is sporty and looks like a sports car, but for some reason Hyundai has no interest in making it a legitimate sports car with either a larger V-6 or turbocharged I-4. On the other hand Tiburon GT will have no problem beating V6 Camaro's and early 90's Mustang V6's. The Tiburon is nice looking, but definitely not a real sports car.

The top of the line Tiburon has a 172 HP V6 engine and the WRX has around 284 HP in a 4 cylinder engine.
A Tiburon cannot beat a WRX in handling or performance because the Suburu is AWD and has much more power.
A tuned up Tiburon with a turbo kit should have a chance of beating it.

The WRX is putting out 270 to 330 HP in a car that weighs around the same as the Tiburon which puts out 210. The WRX has full time four wheel drive and costs 10 grand more than your Hyundai Shark. It would be like comparing a Mazda Miata and a Corvette. The closer match would be a Mitsubishi EVO.

your comparing 2 cars that are both in diff leagues, a tiburon can never beat a wrx , unless u like supercharged it or put a turbo on it then u might stand a chance
