If your throat hurts you probably have a cold. With allergies you never get aches and pains and only sometimes will you get a headache or cough. If your symptoms get worse over a couple days you have a cold, allergies symptoms will stay the same. Allergies also occur at certain times of the year, but you can get a cold at anytime. Colds will clear up in a few days especially after taking medicine, but allergies will last for a bit longer or as long as you are around what you are allergic to. So keep taking your medicine and i hope it clears up!

A cold will go away in a maximum of 7 days. If your symptoms hang on then you can be pretty sure they are allergies.

Why did not the pedi deliver you whatever? It's unhealthy to deliver a medication(over-the-counter) to give up the coughing, that is the frame's means of eliminating the congestion! So, as you do the humidifier therapy pat her on her again and aspects, then whilst she coughs have a bulb in a position to take away any phlem, if she can not cough it up herself. Do that approximately three occasions an afternoon if it is very unhealthy. I use vapor rub even on bloodless nights, it does support. Most otc medi's are drowsy, if all else fails deliver her just a little benedryl. Good good fortune

The odds are that this time of year it's not a cold but allergies. The sore throat is from sinus drainage.

it's probably a cold. allergies don't just come and go. they're pretty much constant. people with bad allergies can feel the symptoms even when it's not allergy season. so, i would recommend just taking cold medicine and painkillers and waiting for it to pass. feel better!

if you've never had allergies before, you probably dont have them. as others have said the sore throat is a dead giveaway it's a cold/illness. with allergies i always get itchy/watery eyes, but it differs from person to person.

someone said: "its gross BUT true,
if your nose running is green, you are sick
if clear its allergies"
yes, green or yellow snot is definaly a cold/flu, but a mild can have clear snot.

also
fever? no fever w/ allergies

sore throat, i would say your sick, not from mouth breathing

MAINLY time will tell, allergies will linger, cold will go away.

Check your temperature ...if you have a fever it's not an allergy...probably a cold orsome other virus.
