Hey, bcre8iv: the first guy wasn't smoking anything; he knows something you don't. The newest version of the Ford F150 (starting with the 2004 model year) doesn't use the Ford removal keys. The dash bezel that surrounds the radio needs to be pulled away to get to the screws that hold the radio in place. Before that, the 1997-2003 radios do use the removal keys, but the oval dash panel surrounding the radio (which includes the vents) needs to be pulled away before the radio will come out even if the removal keys are used. Earlier models with the 7" x 2" radio units (back to around the 1992 model year) can be pulled out without removing any dash panels.

I don't know what the first guy that answered is smoking but heres the real deal. If it's a newer ford you will need a radio removal set. They look like two "U" shaped metal rods. They cost about 5 bucks. You stick one in each side of the radio where the holes are, spread them apart and pull. the whole radio will come out. Once out it's as simple as unpluging. If it's an older Ford carefully remove the trim panel around the radio and heater controls. The radio is held in with torx screws that you will see. Remove them and pull it out and unplug. It's really easy to do either way!

Hey kzoo, nobody asked you. Keep your nose out of my business or are you this other guys little punk. Let him stand up for himself like a man or do you have something going on with him.

i depends on the year of the F150, if its around 2003, most likely you would have to remove the trim panel from around the A/C controls, and stereo. Then all you have to do is unsrew the 2 screws at the top and bottom of the radio.
