I was sent and returned and plan to return after the next time I am sent. Your a troop? If not don't say fellow please. You don'y know who will and won't return. Leave courage to someone else, you obviously don't have the capacity.

Wow do you really have a concept of Duty and Honor. Ive been over there 6 times. I started out in Afghanistan and worked my way to Iraq. Oddly enough Im still around.
Sadly though I can already see that your lack of respect for yourself and others must have started at an early age just from what you call yourself on here. Also juding by what you say you are I can already see you dont understand the concept of responsibility either. And since you lack these qualities I dont think you should even be allowed to ask questions such as this.

Screw you, I have every intention of returning!
And don't call us your "fellow troops" when you are able to sit at home and type stupid stuff like this because we are HERE protecting your rights to do so.
As an afterthought....before you even say anything, I am filling an Army ground billet, so don't even play the "oh you're Air Force". We have already had several wounded in my unit and we've only been here since January.
EDIT: Acid, just because the Brits area leaving Basrah doesn't mean they are leaving completely. They along with many, many other nations will still have personnel here.

Ah the intelligence level of "Armchair-warriors" or "Armchair-Senators" who ask queries here...
Lets see... we've sent over at least a million troops under the rotation... and with a current US death toll of 3,000+... so that means that only .003 % have been killed !!
And I'm not aware of a SINGLE US military member in IRAQ who's been declared MIA.
So even though there are far too many wounded... WE ALL RETURN.

They who? I was aware that the UK was wrapping up its combat role in the south, and the Danes will be leaving soon, so who is sending more troops, other than the ones we declared?

Heres a better question, why are you asking such dumb questions, not everyone dies over there and it is disrespectful to say they do, maybe you should thank the soldiers for what theyre doing to make sure you have the right to ask dumb questions.

Better than sending them to Detroit or D.C.
Heck per capita, they are safer in Iraq than if they go to New Orleans.

Quit vomiting propoganda.
