I personally would not.
I would not date a woman with three kids anyway.
I would not date a woman with low self-esteem.
There are plenty of guys who would date someone in this situation.
Your best bet is to work on yourself and just try to find some guys as friends. Don't worry about a relationship right now.
If the self esteem issues are only from your last relationship then you may be able to work on that in a fairly short period of time. If the self esteem issues are from anything that happened while you were growing up then you should seek professional counseling.
Good Luck.

If I'd seen this question about 4 months ago I would have said yes. I tried and did my best to encourage her but the kids father was in her ear more than I was and apparently enough so that she decided to try to make it work with him. There was quite a bit of distance ( mileage wise) between us but even if she were local, looking back I still don't think it would have worked. The reason given was for the kids, but I really just believe the low self esteem came back into play because the kids had said they liked me better...which tells me quite a bit about the father.
Anyway I have learned my lesson on this one.......and I'd have to say no. Work on yourself and your self esteem before bringing a man into you and your kids lives....my opinion is its best for the kids anyway. You will also know more of what you are looking for once you build yourself up as well. I hope you get what you want but wait for it, because while you're self esteem is low are you really sure what that is.
Take care and good luck

Well, I'm not a guy but if your looking for encouragement, I have two kids, extremely low self-esteem from previous abusive relationships (dad first, husband next) and am engaged to a wonderful man. He knows that I am working hard on my problems daily and he is there for me when I have a set back. Just don't ever give up on yourself, the rest will come.

She doesn't have low self-esteem from a previous relationship. She has low self-esteem because she doesn't feel good about herself. As far as the kids go, unless you are willing to be a stepdad, I would pass.

The low self esteem is probably less appealing than the 3 kids. It gets exhausting feeling like you always have to "pump up" someone who is down on themselves.
Someone with low self esteem needs to work on that themselves, so they can be a happier person overall and a better partner to someone else.

No. Low self esteem is bad enough...she will be a huge drag to be around. And on top of that 3 kids....they will take up all her time. Even worse if she is a crazy kid mom, 'dedicating her whole life to them'.

No, too much emotional baggage.
Now if she had self-esteem, took good care of her kids, was a nice person, confident, successful, then I might consider it.

I would date her but if her self-esteem didn't rise as we were dating I would be concerned.
