You need to forgive yourself. I think he is fine, but you need to stop beating yourself up. Make every day count, it is a gift from God, so smile, and be happy, and everything around you will be great!

Children are resiliant and he will just get on with things. You need to think more about how you are going to cope with working. Well done for going back to work - after 10 years that is not easy. However, you must be positive and have your mind wholey on the job in hand - you son is with people he knows - many mums have no choice but to leave their children at nurserys effectively with strangers.

my mum had the same problem, she started work again after 10 years, it was good for her though (and its good to think of yourself too) as you need some time to yourself and to earn a bit of cash which is fulfilling, i wouldnt feel guilty i would just see how it goes...my mum felt a bit guilty as she felt she had to be there constantly for us (4 kids!) BUt im glad she went to work as it showed to us she was a strong independent perrson which rubbed off on us, and made me appreciate her even more.

Well, perhaps you need to reconsider. Do you absolutely have to go back to work? If you don't, and if staying home with your kids means some financial sacrifice, maybe you should. It's natural to feel bad -- kids needs their mums, period.

Give it up sweetheart. You are way too attached to your kids. Give them space. Get a job. Get on with your life. Your kids will not be there forever. What are you going to do when they grow up and move out?
