If God had wanted to he could have created the earth yesterday and put all your memories into your head and made up all of the Yahoo questions and answers. This is possible, but I don't think it happened. God would have come up with much better questions ☺.

I don't believe the earth is young. I think that God created the earth using natural methods that may or may not have included many parts of evolution. I don't know what to think about people who interpret the bible as you reference, but I respect them. I also respect people who don't believe in God.

It would seem to be an "estimate" or "educated guess" on how long it took to accumulate.

Sounds like too much bat guano..How do you know how many bats lived in the cave before??
You have to know how many animals were there and for how long.. Too much unknown info..

Yes just like Satan planted them damn dinosaur bones. Now Satan has went and used giant bats to pile up bat crap to make it look like thousands of years. Tell me, why is bat crap called guano?
