I think we shouldn't take any sh!t from that Iranian bastard leader. He is only doing this to provoke the West. Right now that dork leader thinks he is the driving force of the Middle East vs Britain/America thing. He only went for British troops because he knows Britain is run but liberals who haven't the guts to do something about it, maybe some.... SANCTIONS!!! Scary!
Now if he had taken US forces, Bush would've already *****-slapped Irans president stupid!

It is finally time for someone to stand up, say they won't give in to terrorists or terrorist states' demands and let'em have it. They should obviously do all they can to get them back unharmed, but an ultimatum and a time frame for their safe return is necessary. If Ahmadinejad and his insane band of clowns don't acquiesce then it is time to "wipe them off the face of the earth" to use his own words. Every time the civilized world does nothing in response to these islamic extremists we lose credibility and show the terrorists that we are impotent and further embolden them. Another 9-11 is on the horizon...the muslims never stop thinking about ways harm those who don't buy into their wicked ways. By the way...the UN is worthless!!

OH I am just sick about it. The British people got in this mess because of our moron president in the first place. I am so sorry! I did not vote for that idiot.
Sweetie, I would leave Iran alone. Those fanatics will push the button. How do we get those wonderful soldiers out? Diplomacy first and I hope it does not come to force.

Diplomacy?
Hmm, that is an intriguing suggestion. So how do you diplomatically solve an issue with a people that would rather see you dead than waste the breath of talking with you.
That would be like stopping Ghenghis Khan and asking him if he wouldn't mind sparing your village if you give him some food. He'd kill you, then take your food.
Let's not be foolish, radical Islamists (who I know do not represent the whole of Islam) in Iran and Lebanon as well as other parts of the Middle East will stop at nothing to destroy Western Culture.
You can't compromise with someone who wants to annihilate you.

I hope Iran and the UK work out some sort of reasonable and peaceful deal. A war would mean almost certain US involvement and the possibility of attacks against Israel. August 1914 all over again.

Our (US) history with the iranians suggests the soldiers better get ready for a long stay. If the Russians and Chinese weren't in bed with Ahmedinejad, diplomacy could work, but he's not going to feel isolated while Moscow and Beijing have his back.

diplomacy first
it will help if its very clear cut they were not encroaching in territorial waters
one hopes that the Iran government will be reasonable and the first step will be to give them a chance to be reasonable and return the sailors
one hopes the Iran government will not be proving tot he world that they are irrational

Of course we westerners like to view ourselves as oppressors whose only redemption is to let little despots abuse us at no cost. It is the least we can do since we are soooo evil and have hurt them so bad with our billions of dollars in oppressive oil money that lines their pockets. Hence, we must do nothing except blame ourselves and write the soldiers off for being part of a capitalistic iron fist.
