This is absolutely true...they had a meeting or hearing or something about it today. I know people who were going attend and have not heard back yet.
They essentially want to do away with cosmetic tattooing. Idiots. It is a county but a very influential one and there is always going to be a trickle down effect if something crazy like that gets through. If I lived there I would have been there with a lawyer!
Edit notes: Here is a report on the meeting I wrote about above:

They better not! You cant ban freedom of expression! *In the United States freedom of expression is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.* It's not harming anyone except for maybe the person who chooses to get a tattoo or piercing.

Banning plastic bags in California?? Havne't heard that one yet and I live here. I did hear on the news that they are charging people for their plastic bags at a few places in San Diego.
As for the tattoos.....is that even possible?? Wouldn't that violate our rights?? I'll have to check into that.

Don't blindly repeat rumors that you hear. Do you REALLY think that something that stupid could be enforced? I hear that they're going to ban animals from breastfeeding in Alabama unless they have a license. Did you know that you are going to have to get a $1500 permit to own a pet in California? All pet owners without this permit will be rounded up and shot (and their pets confiscated and sold on the black market to pharmaceutical labs for research.) Starting next week all people who profess to be Christians are going to have to get the number 999 tattooed on them......all non-Christians get a free coupon to Shoney's!.....
get a grip dude
