I never get greasy hair but lately, my roots have been so greasy, it's nasty. I end up throwing my hair up in a pony tail. I wash it everyday and use small amounts of conditioner. I rarely ever blow dry it..normally i just tie it back because of work. So, what should I do? Someone told me a hair cut will help..but that makes no sense...so, any other ideas to help me get rid of this greasy hair?

Alternate a clarifying shampoo with a normal/ oily shampoo. Also use a leave-in conditioner in lieu of a heavy condition. You also should apply the conditioner from ends upward.
Try Matrix Normalizing Shampoo and the Detangling Solution also by Matrix. A good clarifying shampoo... Try Matrix Essentials Alternate Action.
Good luck!

I don't remember where i heard this but they said shampooing with your hair still dry, in your shower before opening the water.

But what I ussually do is put the conditioner only at the ends, that helps.

I think your problem might have to do with stress, I'm no expert but I've heard hair falls more because of stress and maybe this could happen too it has to do with the scalp glands.

There's a remedy but it's kind of expensive this is the link

Good Luck.

Try a clarifing shampoo and a volumizing conditioner which isnt as heavy. Only use the conditioner on your ends and try to avoid to much styling products which can also weigh hair down.

1) Best clarifying shampoo = Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo

2) After your hair is dry, brush your hair to distribute the oil on your scalp and wear your hair loosely because pulling your hair flat against your scalp may be "trapping" the oil.

3) Apply a toner like witch hazel to your scalp.

only condition the ends of your hair, to prevent split ends, but you have enough oil on your scalp to moisturize your roots. also, try a shampoo for oily hair. head and shoulders makes one for fine/oily hair that works after the first wash. plus, it makes your hair super glossy.
