I admit it, I sent one about 3 months ago. I receive one almost daily. Well, usually they aren't hate mail but I have received my share.

How does it make you feel to send one and how do you feel when you receive one?

I have no complaint with 95% of the people on here. Most are much nicer than I am, in fact.

LOL! You really think that many are nicer than you are? I doubt that, sweetie!!!

I never send hate mail. I might send an email correcting someone's incorrect assumption of factual error, but never hate mail. As for receiving it, it is near daily. Ive in fact come to the point where I actually feel slightly depressed if I DONT receive one....almost as if I wasnt able to get under anyone's skin the day prior...

I get a few hate mails now and then, usually by people who profess they are athiest here. I also get many more mails blessing me for helping others and supporting them. I thank those that bless me and offer a prayer for them. Those that insult me, I simply ask what the problem is and tell them i will explain it if needed. These complainers NEVER say which question/answer they are so angry about, I think they are just venting personally and so I try to be patient with them. I have never recieved a 2nd message from someone who yelled at me. :)

Never sent any and I received 18-19 hate mails in one weekend. The same grammar errors lead me to believe they were the work of two very lonely people over the weekend.

I used to. I once got into this huge e-mail battle with this complete moron about politics. But that was a long time ago. Now, everyone seems quite mellow. I get none. But I do send some every now and then, not hate mail but just... correcting some views they may have.

Not really hate mail, but I recieve an email from a christian who was arguing against something about islam. and when i tried to refute his claims he became angry in his next mail and said some pretty bad stuff. I dont send hate mails.

he said :
It is an insult to all decent people when muslims like you say we are too stupid to understand what we read. Take your insults to hell with you when you go there and meet the thief, rapist, murderer, and pedophile muhammad who you lie and say was a prophet of the true God who rejects all such evil and those who choose to commit the sins of muhammad.

So according to him, I insulted him by defending my faith.

I did a long time ago when trying to cope with my ex, who I didn't realize was a BPD (borderline personality disorder) until it was too late and the break-up got ugly. I felt like hooie, and not much longer afterward I found the book by Venerable Thubten Chodron "Working With Anger"... and began to understand things a LOT better. Needless to say I don't do that kind of thing anymore... thankfully.

I don't send them... but I do respond to them. I have managed to offend some religious fanatics on YA and received some venomous e-mails... I don't post such anger provoking responses, nor do I continue the exchange after my response... some of them seem to want to just argue and it is impossible to have a continued dialog with someone who is closed minded and mentally ill.

I've never sent any email to anyone on here, except for a couple of times to ask a question (a sincere question). I have received hatemail many times on here. I've only responded once--the man threatened and insulted me and I eventually had to just ignore him. Now I ignore everyone who sends mean things.

I haven't received hate email. And I am thankful for that. I don't hate anyone on here. Some may be misguided, but that's their deal.

In fact, I try to reach out to people who don't agree with me and ask them questions to further the conversation. I've always lived with the belief that everyone is deserving of respect. God is no respector of man, but I am supposed to be.

Heh I love honesty...

I have received a few, but make it clear that I am trying to have a discourse with them, and that their name calling and hate, doesn't effect me. Once they realize this, they typically stop writing back, and I leave them with one last zinger that lets them know that they started, and wonders if their lack of evidence has caused them to change their feeble position.

I don't hear much after that.

I have never pro-actively sent hate mail, but have sent messages asking for proof, which are never replied too.
