Yes, and it brought me to a very humble place. I never forgot it, and paid it forward many times over. Because I know what it is like to be down to my last penny, wondering how I was going to feed my then, 5 year old son. That gift of money turned into a beautiful Christmas for my son, and helped me land a terrific job that paid our bills, and put food on the table. I will never forget that act of benevolence, and never hesitate to help others as a result of it.

I was nine years old and I found a wallet on the street one summer. We were very poor, and my mother insisted on us growing up in strange places. We were in Crete and I remember we didn't even have enough money to buy bread. So here I find this bulging wallet with more money than I've ever seen in my life. I didn't think twice about it (my mom taught us morals) and I handed it in to the police. Two hours later a tourist woman shows up at our house with a brand new bicycle for me fifty euros as well. I still keep in touch with her. I felt wonderful for being awarded for doing something right. Usually in this world that almost never happens.

I have been on both ends. I needed at one time and was given to and now I am able to give generously and be a blessing. I get more blessed being able to give now and help people out. It reminds me that there are people who will put their money where their mouth is...pardon the pun..and live by example.

I love it when people help others. I like that one commercial that shows this guy helping someone and it inspires others to do the same. :o)
To answer your question. Yes, I'm sure that's happened to me. Can't think of any examples. My church is like one big family. If something happens to someone then we ALL get involved and help out

It happens to me quite often. I was even given a car when I needed it. It is an indication of what heaven will be like. When we all can give because there are no barriers like income or poverty.

I've had perfect strangers do that and more for me. It's very humbling, and uplifting at the same time.
