Growing up, i've injured my back seriously several times and now, if i even lift a box , i will suffer from back pain. I asked my doctor abotu it at the time and all he did was tell me to stretch and exercise and told me not to lift anything exceeding 10 lbs. I've found that pain killers dont work, exercising only makes it worse, and strectching as well.its sometimes impossible not to lift anything over 10 lbs. Will finding a chiropractor (sp?) help? Any Ideas?

it could be that something is out of alignment in there. alot of chiropractors have a deal when you first go to see them for a free examination and they take x-rays. once the chiropractor looks at the x-ray he will be able to tell you what needs to be done. when you first start going though it will feel like he is making it worse because he is poping thing back to where they are suppose to be... After time it could help alot. Best thing that helps me with my back is just to lay flat on the floor and bend my knees.

.I injured my back when I was younger in a car accident and I seem to always have a little bit of a pain issue. A Pain Management Doctor might be a good first stop. If your pain persists after the healing process should be over, you might have what is called chronic pain. If the current treatment you are receiving stops working or your pain begins to get worse over time, your primary care doctor may suggest that you see a pain medicine doctor. See the link and get more information i found you on PainReliefTips. I hope this helps you Dear.

Chiropractors are wonderful. I had a major accident (thrown from a horse) when I was younger and a chiropractor got me through it without surgery. I now only go when I'm in pain, but my parents go every week.

Chiropractors are awesome! If you can find an honest one. My dad had neck and back pain.....our Chiropractor examined him and instead of taking his money and trying to adjust him....he talked to him more and examined him closer and determined that my dad had had a heart attack. Saved his life! Also try massage therapy and even acupuncture.
