ok so for a few months now i have never had my thirst been satisfied. In fact, it seems that every time i take a sip of water or whatever i'm drinking, i get even more thirsty. Sometimes if i don't have any water for about half an hour or so, i'll get this really bad headache that doesn't go away when i take medicine. It does go away when i drink lots of water though. Right now i carry my 1 liter water bottle around everywhere with me, but it's kind of annoying and i still feel like i'm thirsty after drinking, so i kind of want that feeling to go away. Anything i can do to stop being thirsty?

oh yeah lol i forgot bad acid reflux too (this is recent, not life-long, so i wouldn't go as far as to tack 'disease' onto the end of it)

If you are constantly thirst and constantly need to go to the bathroom. Its a symptom of diabetes. You should check in with your doctor. And also if you eat alot of salty things that could also be a reason. But you should def. check in with you doctor.

As everyone has already said, this is a sign of diabetes and you should see your doctor asap. When my diabetes started, I was doing the same thing. I even went out and bought a case of bottle water and drank it all in like 2 1/2 days. My story is one of success though. I was placed on medication, had to check my blood 3 times a day. I simply made some radical changes to my diet and 6 months later, my diabetes was defeated and I no longer have to check my blood sugar or take medication. I also get checked on every 6 months by my doctor and it has been over 3 years and I am still without the diabetes returning. Good luck.

You can look up the symptom of really thirsty on the web.You may have a type of diabetes, where you are thirsty all of the time, go to your Doctor or something. If you are just REALLY REALLY thirsty some good thirst quenchers are: Gatorade, Vitamin Water, Crystal Light, or you can try some kind of frozen drink such as a Slurpee, they always quench my thirst!

First of all, stick to water, because other beverages (especially caffeinated ones, sugary ones, or sports drinks) can make you dehydrated. You might wanna go to the doctor, because constant thirst can be a sign of diabetes or another condition (especially if this is a new symptom.)

Sounds like Diabetes Insipidus. Check out this link and see if this sounds like you:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diabetes_insipidus#Signs_and_symptoms

Could also just be: psychogenic polydipsia (habit drinking)

The cramping you mention as additional details is likely due to consuming large amounts of water. See this link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyponatremia

Or, being dehydrated as a result of underlying diabetes insipidus.

Doubt the acid reflux is related. Likely, a separate condition.

I favor a climate that is hot, arid and dry. I am never thirsty. Got more dehydrated in the mountains, though the water tasted like filth. I suggest you get a test for diabetes.

A good rule of thumb on how much water to drink in a day is at least half of your body's weight in ounces. If you drink less than that, you will probably be dehydrated. If you aren't drinking enough, then you will be thirsty (it's your body's way of telling you to drink more water).

Go to the Doctor. This sounds like it needs to be investigated. Could be diabetes or some sort of imbalance. Do you have any other symptoms?

Check for diabetes - thirst can be a symptom. Or do you eat too much salt?

Have your blood sugar tested. That is the #1 sign of diabetes.
