Russia. We are better friends with Russia than China. The U.S. is moving away from treating Russia as a threat and is looking at China as a growing threat. (To put it simply, the U.S. is moving its advanced weaponry into the Pacific.)
China is looking at nationalizing foreign companies in China.(Basically taking away all of the U.S.'s investments there)
China has ten of thousands of spies in the U.S.. Russia doesn't have anywhere close to that number.
China was helping the U.S.'s enemy in the Kosovo. That enemy was committing genocide. China helped North Korea in Korean war (China did a surprise attack and never announced it was going into war against the U.S.). China helped Viet Cong in Vietnam, China is currently making deals with Venezuela, China gave nuclear bomb making machines to Iran, China targets missiles at U.S. soldiers in Japan, China stole our nuclear bomb secrets, China wants us to go broke by devaluing their currency, etc..
China is currently pushing Iran to make nukes. China wants the U.S. to attack Iran which will weaken the U.S.'s military. China's grand plan is to get us involved in as many wars as possible. This was Chairman Mao's idea. Decades ago he announced it and China continues the policy today.
Clinton war right to bomb China's Kosovo embassy. China's embassy was supplying intel to the enemy.

False choice. If we had any brains at all, we'd stay the heck out of it and let the two of 'em slug it out.
If we truly had to pick a side (I can't conceive of the circumstances, but let's just assume) then the side we'd pick might well depend on the circumstances at the time. Why is there a war? What's the world situation? Diplomatic realities can change quite a bit within just a few years. Which side is actively courting us? It's largely pointless to answer this question without that kind of information.
However, if you absolutely insist...
... then I pick Russia. If only because Russia has more nukes they can lob in our general direction.

That may not be as unlikely as you may think. Russia and China have the longest border in the world and almost all of it is disputed territory.. And they have been at War with each other many times in past history.
In fact it is Russia's conflict with China that is keeping Russia out of NATO and/or European Union. Europe/USA does not want to get put in the position of siding one with the other. At this point we just do not have enough information to choose sides intelligently so we can only guess. Given our past alliances with Russia....WW II.....and the fact that Russia is "generally" considered a Western Country we might well back Russia. More than likely we will sit it out militarilly until one of them attacks us and then we would enter against that country.
It could happen and it could go either way as to who to back.

Actually Tom Clancy has this scenario covered in his book The Bear and The Dragon. We sided with Russia and covered it by pulling them into NATO. There were some other stunts pulled by China before this that helped with the decision

Well if anyone was fighting a war it would be us with one of those countries and one of them would be choosing a side, and probably not with us, since those two border each other. BUT....if we had to chose a side, we would chose China for sure. China has a bigger population which means more money for us in trades, and purchases, it would bring us closer as Allies, and we never liked russia ever anyways. From the cuban missle crisis to how they don't agree with anything the U.S. or any other country wants to do now in the middle east cuz they are to busy selling all those countries weapons, and helping Iran create "nuclear energy" hahah yea right.

Currently we have more Socio-Economic relations with China than Russia, so I vote China.
But in reality, we wouldn't have to do anything, we're the Superpower.

Depends. We would probably stay neutral for a while, until we can't. But we would probably support Russia.

Probably neither. Both are commie scum. At least I hope that we wouldn't. But if they ever wanted to team up against us, expect alot more U.F.O. sightings. You realize that those are our most high tech craft. Bottom line, we could defeat both countries over night and that's why so much of the rest of the world hates the U.S., the greatest nation in history.
