How come the Bible never mentions Dinosaurs?

We have Dino fossils everywhere....you'd think that it would get mentioned in that book some where???

As I thought....no sense of humour...except The Hitch Hiker's guide one though...nice. Yes I did read it and loved every dam page.

The early Bible mentions Behemoths and leviathans. Although it dosent say "dinosaurs" The religious will "interpret" these two words to mean dinosaurs. But if you look at todays Bible, those words have been replaced with alligator and hippopotamus.
They "interpret" certain words to mean whatever they want, according to who is asking the question and what type of answer they want to give.
Then you will get answers that say, Satan put the fossils there to trick us into believing the Earth is actually older than it really is. Even though there is more proof that the Earth is 2 billion + years old than there is that the Bible is accurate, in any way.

In ancient times when people discovered dinosaur fossils they often believed them to be the bones of giants.

Genesis 6:4
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men.

It doesn't mention armadillos or moose either. Why would it?? The Bible isn't a book of zoology or palentology. Its purpose is to provide revelation about God, His relkationship to mankind, and salvation. Dinosaurs have nothing to do with any of the above, therefore there would be no reason to mention them, even if the writers of biblical times had been aware of dinosaurs, which they were not. The few examples of giant bones that had been unearthed at that time were attributed to an extinct race of giant humans, not giant reptiles. The Bible does mention a few animals that people of the time were familar with such as camels, donkeys, crocodiles ("leviathan") and the hippopotamus ("behemoth").

First of all, it doesn't need to. The Bible is only concerned with things that directly impact humans, and dinosaurs aren't one of them.
Second, it may be that the Bible DOES mention dinosaurs. On Day Five, it says God created the "big reptiles". This occurs before the general creation of "animals".

the word dinosaur is not in the Bible, Job 40:15--41:34 describe leviathan & behemoth, the descriptions of which suggest some types of dinosaurs. Check it out

People weren't around when dinosaurs were. The Bible was not written more than 2000 years ago. Dinosaurs haven't been around for millions more years. Uh, duh.

The book would have to be as big as the earth to encompass all knowledge in it.

Amazingly, they actually are referenced in the Bible. Several places, in fact. They are named differently, however. Remember, the word "dinosaur" is a fairly modern word, and wasn't around in Bible times. The Bible uses terms such as "leviathan" and "behemoth." Maybe they played no central part. I mean what did they really do? All they were just big dumb creatures. And maybe they were there before man. And we simply cannot date how old the earth REALLY is. And I do not know if this is true, but I heard someone say that there is no dinosaurs that were painted inside of the caves of the "Cave men."

We do have dino bones in lots of places, however the middle east has very few and none have ever been found in the Bible lands.
