Smoking is very bad!!!!!! I'm proud to say I quit smoking 6 and 1/2 months ago (after smoking for 10 years). Try doing a search on the internet on how to quit. Everyone is different. I was lucky enough to be able to quit cold turkey. I didn't use anything but will power.

The answer to your first 2 questions is obviously yes, so as to how you can quit, it would help that you make a definite decision that you personally for your own sake want to quit - not because you think other people think smoking's bad, or whether you should quit or not.
Crikey, do you care about yourself? Do you want to go through life free of guilt and worry that you will become a predictable statistic? Do you value your instincts, opinions, self-esteem, health, future, family, finances? I hope so, because if not, you need to grow up fast before you get permanently mirred in self-destructing habits.

When even the tobacco companies themselves tell you that cigarettes can/will kill you, it's a good clue to stop...unless you like spending a bunch of money on cigarettes and, later, medical bills only to have to struggle to find a place to lgiht up at work, when going out, and in even in the car (some states are now outlawing smoking in the car in certain situations, like if children are present).
There are lots of ways to quit. If you find you're not able to just stop, there's the nicotine patch, nicotine gum, and now a couple of prescriptions that can help.
More importantly than just kicking the nicotine addiction, though, is the behavioral aspect of smoking - people get addicted to holding it, to the comfort of having a smoke, and to act of having one in particular situations (when in a club, when drinking, etc.). If that's part of what makes it hard for you to quit, you'll have to work extra hard to make sure you try to minimize your inclination to smoke in those situations (don't carry a pack with you, don't ask people for one, don't accept one if offered).
Good luck - you can add years to your life (and to those around you) if you quit.

yes it is bad because it can cause many cancers and empysema and cause or aggravate other health problems such as high blood pressure high cholestorol and second hand smoke to others puts them at risk also for many things.there is no good reason to smoke drink or do any other kind of drugs.they all kill, some more slowly than others but the end result is the same.if you can quit cold turkey or you can use gum or hard candies to get past the cravings if you need help try the patches or hypnosis to quit.if you are unsure talk to your doctor he can help come up with a plan for you .good luck.i quit last may25th.cold turkey i am glad i did.you can do it one day at a time.

You know smoking is bad for you. Quitting is your choice but if you would like to be healthy and have a better chance at a longer life than quitting is the answer. I quit cold turkey two years ago. You have to commit to it. I tried nicorette and it didnt help much. You have to be ready to wipe your hands of anything to do with smoking.

some ppl?????? try EVERYBODY!!! yes you should quit. and did you know that normally, basic tobacco is not as addictive, almost not at all as the cigarettes of today?! this is because the big tobacco companies put suplimentary addictive substances in their products with the only goal to make you buy more. they are not interested in experiencing the pleasure of tobacco but that of filling their own miserable pockets. quitting can be made easy by a doctor who can advise you best. there are patches, gum, diets and all sort of techniques to cease this habbit. includding simply stopping...although this my be really difficult for your body and mind....so go see a doctor, he'll tell you how
