OK, first off, I do NOT feel better when I whine (in fact I feel worse).
but I could turn around and ask you the same question of do Atheist feel better when they whine. Cause they love to whine about how Christians are forcing their believes down their throats (which not every Christian does), how theirs too much God everywhere, and everything else they can think of to bash Christianity.
And also is it possible their just stating observations they have noticed, not whining? Simple difference really.

I don't like whining, and I have noticed that it is considered "bashing" when you tell the basher, "hey stop that! that's wrong!" When I do that, and the victim is okay because of it, yes, I then feel better. All my past atrocities are like an extremely small list. I do not recall like burning down a city or anything like that.
So far I have not burned even one witch, nor enslaved one African, nor killed even one person. Nor do I have a desire to do so. My atrocities are more along the lines of burning the cookies (and not because I felt that they deserved to burn in hell forever, but because I am a pretty bad cook).
It's all "rainbows and butterflies" over here. La, la, la....let's all sing a song!

True Christians do not commit atrocities they act as examples to the world a "light atop a hill" if you would. We had been instructed to "love thy neighbor as thyself" all the people of the world being our neighbors.
Many cultures and religions held slaves and persecuted the 'unclean' so you cannot pin this squarely on the shoulders of the Christian faith.
Also, I (yes I am a Christian) am comforted by prayer not whining. Whining gets you nowhere, prayer is much more comforting. A nice way of holding a conversation with God.

I just asked this question. I do not understand it either!
A simple question about their way of life or beliefs is considered persecution apparently.
When someone asks a question about my religion I am very obliged to explain. I do not feel persecuted.
If they disagree, it is their right and freedom and I respect that.
If they insult and condemn ignorantly then I either ignore them or hold a mirror up to their behavior.
If they in any way try to attack me or my family I call down the vengence of all the Dark Mother on them and let karmic balance do the rest.
You won't find me whining. LOL

I'm a Christian and I don't whine nor do I feel persecuted nor have I been bashed. More often just disagreed with and that's fine. I don't try to push my religion down peoples throats and I'm not a Bible-thumping fundamentalist. Although my religion is fundamentalist that doesn't mean that I am.
I believe you are talking about the so-called Christians who say they are Christians, but in essence and practice really aren't. Please don't put all Christians in your box, because not all Christians are like that.

I'll supply you a major reply--despite the fact that I suspect you don't seem to be fully critical along with your query. I'm a Christian. I used to be born right into a Christian religion however fell clear of it whilst I used to be in school. I married a non-Christian and we have been in combination 15 years. We have been very materialistic and I could say we have been sinful in plenty of methods. I ought to clearly admit that I loved plenty of the sin. But there used to be a drawback. If she might sin in opposition to others what used to be to preclude her from sinning in opposition to me? Over a interval of years our marriage deteriorated till we have been divorced. It used to be in a while afterwards that I rediscovered my religion. Now, I do not see God as always being like a human entity. I see Him as extra of a drive within the universe. (Like, "May the Force be with you?") I learned there have been plenty of matters I could not provide an explanation for and I discovered it used to be integral to have anything better than myself to think in. God? Why now not God? So I grew to become a Christian once more. I have now been one for 28 years. I think God cares approximately me, and can maintain me on this lifestyles and the following. And I feel that feels beautiful well. For the atheists in the market allow me ask a couple of questions for you men who've all of the solutions: one million. What lies past this universe? two. Why are we right here? three. What is infinity? Knock the ones out in 500 phrases or much less and I'll concentrate in your "there's no God" arguments.

What is wrong with people? Just because someone whines it doesn't mean they are christian. Just because someone is a christian doesn't mean they are going to whine. Why do so many people hate the christian religion? The type of religion that a person chooses has nothing to do with what kind of person they are. This world would be a much better place if everyone one would stop trying to push his/her beliefs on everyone else.

Well, you do know about that sacramental communion wine, other than that, I am pretty much a beer man myself.
But, in all seriousness, you cannot blame the errors of the past on the people of the present. Your reasoning is along the lines of blaming every German of today for the Nazi persecution of Jews during World War II. I was not around when the Christians were enslaving Africans, burning withches, or what have you, so therefore it is not my fault that it happened. Is it sad and horrible what they've done to people? Of course. But just because someone from 2 centuries ago did something, that does not mean that others who refer to themselves as being part of the same religion are responsible for those peoples' actions. Therefore, because I am a Christian living in the 21st Century, I am not responsible for the actions of Christians living in any Century before then. Therefore, I am not responsible for the burning of witches or the enslavement of Africans, though horrific events as they are. Therefore, I have no need to feel better about the attrocities of the past in the way that you have described, because I am not personally responsible for any of them. Now, regarding the bitching and complaining for when people bash and persecute Christians, in one sense I cannot blame someone for being upset when they are being ridiculed, but in another I look upon it rejoicingly as the Bible says to, as those moments are sometimes the greatest opportunities for ministry in the life of a Christian. Those could be the greatest times in which to proclaim the true message of the Gospel to people who don't quite know the full picture. Being upset when someone puts you down is not a way to make yourself feel better for the mistakes of people in the past, it is just normal human emotions doing their natural thing. That's all. Just humans doing what humans do. Defending yourself is necessary during times of attack because, if you don't, then you're going to get completely run over by those that are attacking you. That is what some Christians on here do when they "whine" about people bashing or persecuting them: they defend themselves, and sometimes not in a very nice manner. And I for one do not blame them for their natural showing of human emotions in that way. If anything, I commend them for attempting to defend the faith and for having such strong convictions that they feel they themselves are under attack when the name of Jesus is being slandered like it is sometimes. I do not blame them at all for being offended and taking things the way they do. If anything, I congratulate them for their courage and strength in coming out like that, and I further encourage them to do so in other similar moments. My advice to you, then, is if you don't like it, then don't listen to it, and see where that gets you in this life.

I'm Christian and I don't whine.
I also don't feel that I'm persecuted, nor do people bash me. And I've never committed any atrocities, especially not burning, enslaving, or killing.

I don't whine, in fact I expect people to whine at ME. (like what you are doing right now)
Last I checked, it was people like you who were whining that you didn't want the Creationist argument taught in schools.
